Hi I’m Jessica and I’m obsessed with jewelry from fashion to fine. I love finding unique pieces and figuring out how to pull them together. I started La Lumiere NY 4 years ago after having our first son and being unable to find the personalized jewelry I was seeking at an accessible price point.

I have a lot of time with my thoughts right now as I fall into the newness of welcoming our third boy to the world, and wake to feed him every three hours. As I  endlessly scroll Instagram I am feeling inspired by the changing of the season and grateful for our partners. I thought I’d share how I style our new fall collection along with some favorite things I’m finding along the way.

I selected favorites from some of the amazing boutiques who carry us and always focus on buying from small and women owned. Below, you’ll see favorite selections from Clairvaux, the Fold, Market Highland Park and others.

 

For fall, I’m excited about metallics, mixing metals, maroons and wines, jewel tones. We recently started carrying silver bracelets which y’all have been asking for for years and can now be found on the site.

The metallics have me reflecting on a pair of favorite J. Crew kitten heeled pumps I used to adore while living in New York which would get stuck in the cobblestones of Nolita on my commute to 8th and Broadway each day. I found a more reasonable flat pair below which you can wear with our silver stacking bracelets and yummy crimson floral bracelet which is sure to sell out as flowers always go quickly on the site.  

 

 

I am absolutely dying over this incredible Ulla top which you can find at the Fold in Omaha, Nebraska (where I am from!). Natalie has the most beautiful eye and just celebrated SEVEN years in business. 

I mourn how I missed out on every item in this photo with the sweater and skirt selling out in minutes in my size after Joni did an Instagram Live about these items from Clairvaux in Kansas City. I thought they would pair nicely with our olive pieces which continue to be popular season after season. 

  

This pale yellow set from Market Highland Park has me looking forward to corporate pre-fall outings paired with our Clementine, Salmon and Fall Poppy Bracelets. 

 When my waist returns and son gets older, I'd love to enjoy a night out in this adorable Sea top, Market's leather pants and our gold and black stack along with our like diamonds (looks like diamonds, but $45!) bracelet. 

 

 

Leaving my favorite for last, another trend Joni shared from Clairvaux with this coxy The Great hoodie with a sequin mini. I mourn the sequin mini skirts I donated last year believing I had outgrown the phase now considering layering with a cozy hoodie and Adidas Sambas. I paired with our Emerald Dreams Stack.

 

Other top of mind:

• Recently I stumbled across new to me designer Meredith Waterstraat Art in my explore page on Instagram and I’m obsessed with her designs, the quality, the detail. She’s inspiring me to get my bead sets out and go back to gem and bead shows which is what I did when I started this business, creating small batches (1-5) of a style and selling them until they sold out then moving on to a new design. I’d like to get back into this and am feeling inspired to start creating again.

• I’m obsessed with Emily Sundberg feed me https://emilysundberg.substack.com/?utm_medium=web her writing is refreshing and raw and makes me feel connected to a very different life pre children when we still lived in New York. Emily and I met years ago when I worked on the Instagram team
• I know summer is winding down in many parts of the world but it’s full on here in Austin. Maybe that’s why I can’t stop obsessing over these seashell earrings or necklace??
• I’m amazed by the power of the hakaa and wonder why it took me three newborns to realize I could pump without pain or clunky wires
• I’m grateful for the outpouring of support as we’ve welcomed our third into the world it’s night and day different than having our second in the peak of Covid
